Abigail Maddox grew up in Auburn, Alabama with her parents and four sisters. She graduated from Auburn University in Alabama with a bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Studies.
Abigail came to Tyler in 2014 when she began working with Pine Cove as a summer staffer at
family camp. After graduation she accepted a position with Pine Cove's outdoor education program. Here she felt the Lord calling her to pursue working with public school children.
The Lord opened the door for her to be the assistant program director for Rose City Summer Camps in the summer of 2017. Her prayer became that God would provide a job that allowed her to work with people and share the gospel. She joined The Mentoring Alliance as an Area Director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of East Texas fulfilling that wish. Abigail says, "God has been faithful to provide a position as an Area Director which allows me to do what I am passionate about: encouraging college age students to love God and know His word, while working with children to help them know their creator. While I am here at The Mentoring Alliance I hope to be an encouragement to my coworkers, staff and children to know God through the truth of His Word and love others, just as Christ has loved us."
