Sherry Friesen was called to serve at The Mentoring Alliance in December, 2016.
She has a BS in Health Care Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire which included two years of accounting coursework. She has worked primarily in Christian, non-profit service all of her work life with a passion for finances and serving to advance God’s kingdom. Over 20 years she worked as a Nursing Home Administrator for the Good Samaritan Society. Since moving to Texas, she has worked in accounting roles in senior housing and assisted living, at Mercy Ships and for Pella Products. She was motivated to apply for the Finance Manager position when she read that the Mentoring Alliance was looking for someone who was interested in serving in a ministry.
Married to Bob Friesen for 27 years, they have two children, Kaylyn (22) who recently graduated from Baylor University and Erick (18) who is a senior at Lindale High School. Sherry & her family have lived in Texas since 2007, having located here from Fort Collins, Colorado. She and her family are members at Green Acres Baptist Church where Sherry sings in the 400+ member choir. Sherry also leads a Moms in Prayer group weekly for working mothers. She is a prayer warrior and believes God works in mighty ways when His people pray.
