First off, Happy Easter!
This week we are all reminded of Jesus’ tremendous act of sacrificial love for us at the cross. It is this very work of his that brings healing and redemption to mankind.
The work that we’ve done together – mobilizing godly people into the lives of kids and families all over our community to provide tangible help and eternal hope – is a beautiful picture of the sacrificial love God has for each of us.
I am incredibly grateful and honored to be working with you to accomplish such an important mission.
The love of Christ compels us. It motivates us. It moves us out of our comfort zones to impact those we might not know. And for us at Mentoring Alliance, this means expanding outside of our current geographical area.
That’s right. I’m very excited to tell you something…
Mentoring Alliance is expanding to Waco, TX!
This past Tuesday, March 23rd, the board voted unanimously – and eagerly – to begin our expansion into Waco, TX. We have hired a new Regional Vice President of Expansion, Zach Garza. He founded and has been leading, a great ministry in the Dallas area – Forerunner Mentoring. Zach, his wife Sara, and their kids will be moving to Waco soon to help lay the groundwork for our expansion there.
Expanding into a new regional market has been part of a 3-year strategic plan our board approved two years ago, in the Spring of 2019. Among other objectives, we set an audacious goal to open a new market by the Fall of 2022. We are right on target to meet, or even exceed, that goal.
Would you please join us in praying for this new endeavor? We are excited to see what God will do in that community as we step out in faith, together, to follow Him into this new area.
Thank you for all you’ve done over the years to help impact kids and families. I’m more excited now about the future of Mentoring Alliance, and the opportunities in front of us, than I’ve ever been.
Compelled to reach, serve and bless many more kids and families,
President, CEO, and Mentor
